Original paintings, prints, and reproductions — what’s the difference?
Konst24 News1 min lesning
Original works are created by the artist as unique objects (or as a clearly described small edition from the artist’s studio).
Prints can range from signed limited-edition prints to posters—read the listing and ask the artist what applies to this specific piece.
Reproductions are copies of an existing work (e.g. photo prints). They can look beautiful on the wall but are not the same as a painted original.
Why it matters
Price, long-term care, and framing differ. The artist-seller can explain technique, edition size, and documentation.
How konst24.se fits in
Listings are published by artists. The platform is not the seller—you agree with the artist what you are buying and how it is delivered.
